Bill Stone - Guitarist

Although born in Champagne, Illinois, Bill Stone has been a Milwaukeean since his formative years. A graduate, with honors, from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, this WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award) nominated guitarist has made his mark in the Midwest jazz and blues scene. He was seen quite a bit in the 80's with the multiple WAMI award winning blues group, "Leroy Airmaster".

With his exacting jazz-inspired blues playing (or is that blues-inspired jazz playing?), Bill has backed up such notable music legends as Hubert Sumlin (of Howlin' Wolf), Sonnyman Slim, Lee Uskar (from WAR), Howard Levy and the famous jazz clarinetist, Chuck Hedges.

Eager to share his musical knowledge, Bill has been a teacher on staff at the Wisconsin Conservatory since 1986 and is also teaching in the Milwaukee Public Schools.
