Kevin Allen - Bass

"Make me sound good", Kevin asked when providing his bio information. Based on his past, it won't be a hard task.

Kevin Allen comes from the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin which has been the birthing ground for some of the Midwest's most creative jazz musicians. As well as a strong jazz/blues background, he also studied classical music where he learned to play upright and electric bass with equal aplomb. As member of the band "Streetlife", he moved to Milwaukee when the band joined forces with Milwaukee's local sax hero, Warren Weigratz. He spent 10 years with that band, which served as the house band for the Milwaukee Bucks, recorded a CD and toured Europe. After that he joined up with the inimitable Greg Koch for 4 years in which his skillful playing can be heard on Greg's nationally released CD, The Grip. Later, came his involvement with the Milwaukee based swing band, "The Swing-o-matics" which also released a CD.

Currently teaching music and freelancing with "every band known to man", Kevin's obvious talent keeps him very busy indeed.
